Turquoise and clear glass segments are fired in the kiln 3 times for visual interest and depth. Wave segments are then cut, arranged and mounted to create maximum movement and dimension on this unique and contemporary menorah.
The unique pattern and multi-dimensional design is achieved by layering hand-cut flat glass, fused glass pebbles, crushed glass chips and glass powders. By heating them in a kiln to just under 1360 degrees, a unique and elegant wave-like strip of turquoise glass is formed across the front panel. This depiction is further enhanced with the placement of clear glass waves above and below.
